Cultural Polyglot and Strategic Explorer

Infrared is the practice of Yvonne van Ulden, 

an animation and immersive storytelling expert operating at the intersection of moving image, theatre, digital culture, and visual art.

 

Through Infrared she focuses on projects with an innovative and driven character, projects that question form, cross disciplines, and invite audiences into layered experiences.

As a writer and director, Yvonne works from a research-driven approach and favors a collaborative process with collective exchange.

 

With a deep understanding of visual grammar, narrative architecture, and contemporary discourse, she brings a keen eye for quality within an international context.

Yvonne analyzes, evaluates, and advises media projects at various stages of development and production, from early concept to final realization. This includes artistic positioning, narrative structure, dramaturgical coherence, and strategic alignment within the broader cultural landscape.

She curates exhibitions and programs that foreground animation, immersive arts, and digital culture. Beyond individual projects, the practice actively contributes to strengthening the ecosystems in which these art forms operate, fostering dialogue, visibility, and sustainable structures.

Through lecturing, mentoring, moderating, and public speaking, She shares expertise with emerging talent and cultural professionals. Her aim is not only to educate, but to cultivate critical and ambitious makers.
