Yvonne has curated this exhibition for the Illustratie Ambassade (Illustration Embassy)  at the Westergas in Amsterdam.

Home is a place, a feeling, and a state of being. This exhibition did unpack the many meanings of home and belonging, from personal safe havens to planet Earth as the shared home of humankind and countless other species. It explores homes under internal pressure and homes under external threat, asking what it means to belong in an unstable world.

​

Bringing together the disciplines of illustration and animation, the exhibition highlights artists working across and between these forms. Here, illustrators set their images in motion, while animators translate moving worlds into still compositions. The selected artists explore shared territories between the two practices, their boundaries, overlaps, and the open spaces where new visual languages emerge.
